Following a lengthy hiatus from a career as a commercial artist and portrait painter, which included 25 years as the owner/principle of an interior design business, I have returned to painting with a combination of pencil, oil pastel, acrylic and oil on canvas and paper. My work provides an eye view into the agricultural and archeologically rich environment in which I currently reside. It is a commentary on the interrelatedness of this environment with the outside world, the history of the area and its native inhabitants, and the sociological implications of a rural lifestyle.
